I love this recipe because it’s a nice change from traditional burgers. The feta adds richness, the spinach keeps it lighter, and the oregano and onion bring everything together for a simple, savory flavor that feels different without being complicated.
You can easily bulk-prep these and shape them however you like. I usually make patties, but you can also roll them into smaller meatballs for a high-protein option that’s great in bowls, wraps, or simple lunches.
They’re especially helpful during busy weeks when you want something you can rely on without much thought — and they’re toddler-friendly, too.

How to make these easy turkey burgers
Finely chop the red onion and spinach — the smaller, the better. If your toddler is like mine, big pieces are a no-go.

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, red onion, spinach, feta crumbles, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Mix thoroughly with your hands, then divide into equal balls. Press into thick patties and set aside. Note: For each pound of turkey, I make 4 patties. If you want meatballs, divide each pound into 10 to 12 pieces.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the patties and cook for 5 minutes per side, checking the internal temperature is 160℉ before removing from the pan. The patties will continue to cook and reach 165℉ while resting. For meatballs, bake at 400℉ for 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and reach 160°F.

Let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Serving ideas for lunch and dinner
For a quick lunch on busy days, I like to serve these Greek turkey burgers in a pita or on garlic naan with tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. They’re also good on their own with a cucumber-tomato salad. They’re also great on their own with a simple cucumber tomato salad. For something more filling, I’ll add a side like parmesan beans or vegetables with hummus. For my toddler, I’ll cut the burgers into small pieces and serve them with the same simple sides.
For a family-friendly dinner, I make it a bit more hearty by serving them with roasted potatoes and sautéed vegetables. Other times, we’ll build Mediterranean-style bowls with quinoa, sweet potatoes, chickpeas, and roasted veggies for an easy, balanced meal.
Meal prep and bulk cooking tips for busy moms
These turkey burgers are great for meal prep because you can easily scale the recipe and make a larger batch. The base recipe uses 1 pound of ground turkey, but it doubles or triples well if you want extra meals ready for the week.
I often cook a bigger batch for dinner and use the leftovers for quick lunches. They reheat well, but they’re also good cold, which makes them especially convenient on busy days.
You can adjust the size depending on how you want to eat them. I usually make patties, but they also work well shaped into smaller meatballs for bowls, wraps, or simple high-protein snack plates.
Having something like this ready to go in the fridge can take a lot of pressure off busy weeks, while still giving you a homemade, filling, versatile meal.
