Greek Turkey Burgers

Servings: 4 patties
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey I prefer 85/15, but 93/7 will work
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup fresh spinach finely chopped
  • 2 oz feta crumbles
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, red onion, spinach, feta crumbles, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly with your hands, then divide into 4 equal balls. Press into thick patties and set aside.
  • For bulk prep, make 4 patties per pound of turkey. If you want meatballs, divide each pound into 10 to 12 balls.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the patties and cook for 5 minutes per side, checking the internal temperature is 160℉ before removing from the pan.
  • For meatballs, bake at 400℉ for 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and reach 160°F.
  • Let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
